Acne Scar Reduction
Living with acne scars can be a daily reminder of past breakouts—something we know may affect your self-esteem. At The Derm Edit, our tailored Acne Scar Reduction treatments help you restore smooth, even skin and regain your confidence.
How We Treat Scars
We assess your scar type—rolling, boxcar, or ice-pick—and recommend one or a combination of these advanced technologies to achieve the best outcome:
- Fotona SP Dynamis NX line full-spot and fractional Er:YAG laser for precise skin resurfacing and deep collagen remodelling
- Fotona Star Walker MAQX+ in FracTAT® mode creates controlled microchannels to fragment scar tissue and stimulate collagen regeneration
- RF Microneedling with adjustable-depth needles to target different scar depths and trigger dermal repair
- PRP/GFC Therapy (Platelet-Rich Plasma or Growth Factor Concentrate) to accelerate healing and enhance collagen synthesis
- Exosome Treatments for advanced skin repair and cellular regeneration (optional)
- Subscision to release deep, tethered scars for smoother skin contour
- TCA CROSS (Trichloroacetic Acid Chemical Reconstruction of Skin Scars) creates controlled micro-injury in ice-pick or narrow scars to trigger collagen remodelling
Key Benefits
- Reduces depth and visibility of all scar types
- Stimulates natural collagen and elastin production

What to Expect
On the day of the procedure, your skin will be cleansed and numbed to ensure comfort. Depending on the chosen treatment, you may feel mild warmth, tingling, or pressure during the session. Modalities like laser, microneedling, and TCA CROSS work by creating controlled micro-injury in the skin to stimulate natural healing and collagen production.
Post-treatment, you can expect temporary redness, swelling, or mild sensitivity. Light flaking or micro-peeling may occur over the next 3–5 days as your skin regenerates. For deeper treatments like subscision or CROSS, small scabs or mild bruising can appear.
You'll receive specific post-care instructions to support healing, prevent pigmentation, and enhance results. Most treatments involve minimal downtime, and improvements develop gradually over several weeks as your skin rebuilds and smooths out. Multiple sessions may be recommended for optimal results.
